My name is Afshin Misagh (Affy) and I'm a dedicated and compassionate psychologist committed to helping you navigate through your challenges. I believe in the power of discovery, insight, and empowerment. Using evidence-based practices on my part and with your hard work and dedication we will collaborate to achieve healing and personal growth. I am dedicated, committed, and ready to go on this journey with you.
Registrations and Memberships:
I am a registered general psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australian Health Practitioner Regulations Agency. Additionally, I'm a Member of the Australian Psychological Society.
Psychology qualifications:
- Bachelor of Psychology (Honours)
- Master of Professional Psychology

- Bachelor of Performance (Acting)
- Postgraduate Diploma in Creative Writing
Areas of practice
I work online via video or phone with adolescents and adults at all stages of their life who are experiencing a range of mental health issues. Please click here to see Affy's areas of practice. Additionally, I may liaise with other highly experienced psychologists that are AHPRA approved supervisors.

All appointments are 50 minutes delivered online or by phone.
The APS National Schedule of Suggested Fees 2024-2025 has the standard 46 to 60-minute consultation fee at $311.
Private fees:
Tier 1: Monday to Friday 9am-4pm ........ $220.00
Tier 2: After hours M-F 5pm-8pm ............ $255.00
Tier 3: Weekends & PH 9am-12pm ........... $311.00
Mental Health Care Plan (Medicare) Rebate of $98.85 available through referral from your doctor.
Couple's therapy/Family therapy
Monday to Friday 9am-4pm ........ $290.00
After hours M-F 5pm-8pm ............ $311.00

Group therapy
Group therapy/courses about depression, anxiety, anger management, insomnia, stress management, assertiveness training, and parental support are currently in development stage.
Report preparation
Reports vary and your needs will be discussed with your psychologist. Fees are in accordance with the APS National Schedule of Suggested Fees and item numbers* for psychological services.
